AgitArte Project Coordinator and Artist, Dey Hernández spoke on a the panel, “How not to get Chumped Changed: The Artist’s Role in Housing and Divestment Justice,” at the Arts Equity Summit in Boston, March 22-24, 2019.
The panel and audience in the room explored the ways in which artists are complicit in gentrification and how artists can show up, build solidarity with other working class folks, and fight for affordable and fair housing.
