Esta población, es una de las más vulnerables ante la pandemia del Covid-19. El gobierno de Puerto Rico ha hecho muy poco para atender las necesidades de esta población. Conversamos con Johanna Dominguez, quien trabaja con las personas sin hogar. Ella es consejera en adicción y manejadora de casos para Albergue El Paraíso. Johanna, también es activista y parte del colectivo Papel Machete. Pueden realizar donaciones al albergue a través de ATH móvil por “Albergue El Paraíso”. La Jornada ha estado manifestándose contra la Junta de Control Fiscal y el pago de la deuda desde 2016. El 1ro de mayo organizaron una caravana-protesta, donde cientos de vehículos transitaron por las calles de Trujillo Alto y San Juan exigiendo pruebas masivas de Covid-19 entre otros reclamos. En el vídeo Jocelyn Velázquez, portavoz de la Jornada, denunció el esquema de corrupción en la compra de pruebas de Covid-19. Además, el 1ro de mayo hubo otras caravanas en el país, incluyendo una convocada por Comedores Sociales de Puerto Rico que transitó desde Caguas hasta Humacao.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator type="normal"][vc_column_text]International Workers' Day Caravan organized by: Jornada Se Acabaron las Promesas. La Jornada has been demonstrating against the Fiscal Control Board and the payment of the debt since 2016. On May 1st they organized a protest caravan, where hundreds of vehicles drove through the streets of Trujillo Alto and San Juan demanding massive Covid-19 testing among other demands. In the video, Jocelyn Velázquez, spokesperson for La Jornada, denounced the corruption scheme in the purchase of evidence of Covid-19.
